The hbAnalytics platform features various network, divisional/regional, facility, and provider-specific performance dashboards with patient-level drill-through. These dashboards typically include graphs, benchmarks (national, division/regional, & facility level), metric performances, contribution margin, COE goals, etc. By importing cost and charge data from the hospital’s billing system, these analytics can be enhanced to provide immediate feedback on the measures that deliver the most significant impact on your hospital’s bottom line. 

Please note: hbAnalytics is a separate platform from the hbRecon toolkit, as these reports and processes are not run into the hbAnalytics engine. However, they work in unison and query/use overlapping data sources.

Example Reports

STS ACSD Blood Product Utilization Report: Review utilization of blood products by Network, Hospital, and Physician – with ready-made graphs and patient-level drill-through. Breakouts by blood product (RBC, Platelets, Plasma, & Cyro) with patient-level drill-through are also available.

CathPCI Risk-Adjusted Measures Report: Review performance of CathPCI Risk-Adjusted measures with heartbase’s officially licensed risk-adjusted measure reporting. Drill into each metric by network, region, hospital, and provider with the 90th, 75th, 50th, 25th, and 10th percentile benchmarks. Perform side-by-side comparisons with metric graphs. Risk stratify each metric into High, Medium, and Low Risk, allowing for easy analysis of patients who met the measure but were categorized as low-risk!

After switching from a previous third party STS data warehouse vendor using DOS and having to wait for long periods of time on data reports, this has much improved our ability to input and analyze data, recognize trends, report out the data, and communicate opportunities for improvement in a shorter time frame. Yes. Heartbase offers an officially licensed ACC-NCDR CathPCI Risk-Adjusted Measure (RAM) Module & AUC Module, which includes on-demand data entry scoring, standard hbReporting, and hbAnalytics.

The ACC-NCDR requires vendors to pay a separate license fee for the risk-adjusted measures – vendors are not required to license these measures. As heartbase officially licenses these measures, the ACC-NCDR provides specifications and associated changes on an ongoing basis. Heartbase verifies risk scoring matches with a group of heartbase facilities.

Yes, all of the hbAnalytics reports contain patient-level drill-through.

Yes, hbAnalytics reports can display by a monthly breakout. All data can be displayed by Year, Quarter, or Month.

Yes, users can create custom dashboards within hbAnalytics or use the hbQuery Tool to create ad-hoc reports.
